Sedona
Art Collective

A Local Community
Built by Artists, for Artists

The Sedona Art Collective is a growing community of local artists brought together by creativity, connection, and a shared belief in the power of art to uplift the world.

The Sedona Art Collective is the membership side of Sacred Sedona Art – a growing community created to support local artists in Sedona and the surrounding areas through connection, visibility, shared opportunity, and long-term creative development.

Rooted in the belief that artists are stronger when they support one another, the collective welcomes a range of creative voices and artistic modalities. Visual artists, potters, musicians, dance artists, poets, jewelry makers, photographers, and other local creatives all have a place within this vision.

More than a membership area, the Sedona Art Collective is intended to become a true artistic community – one shaped by mutual support, democratic participation, and a shared commitment to strengthening the local creative foundation of Sedona.

About the Collective

The Membership Side of a Larger Vision.

While Sacred Sedona Art serves as the public-facing platform where artists are promoted, artwork is sold, and local art news and events are shared, the Sedona Art Collective is the internal community behind that public presence.

This is where the deeper purpose of the organization lives. The collective exists to bring local artists together under a shared vision of creativity, respect, support, and long-term growth. It is designed to give artists not only visibility, but also belonging – a place where their work is valued and their voice matters.

The Sedona Art Collective is being built as an artist-driven organization where the people creating the work help shape the future of the community itself.

Who the Collective Is For

Local Artists Across Many Modalities.

The Sedona Art Collective is open to artists who are local to Sedona or the surrounding areas. The collective is intentionally inclusive of many forms of artistic practice and expression.

Artists who may be part of the collective include:

  • visual artists
  • painters
  • potters
  • jewelry makers
  • photographers
  • poets
  • musicians
  • dance artists
  • mixed media artists
  • multidisciplinary creators
  • other artistic practitioners

This wide embrace of artistic modalities reflects a core belief of the organization: art is not limited to one form. Creativity moves through many mediums, and all deserve respect, visibility, and support.

How the Collective Works

Artist-Driven, Community-Centered, and Democratic

The Sedona Art Collective is being built around the idea that artists should support one another and share in shaping the organization they are part of. This is intended to be a democratic, artist-led community where every member has a voice and no one vote holds more value than another.

As the collective grows, decisions about future directions, opportunities, and community reinvestment will be made with member participation in mind. The goal is to create something transparent, fair, and grounded in shared purpose rather than hierarchy.

This structure is important because the collective is not meant to function as a top-down organization. It is meant to evolve through the involvement, ideas, and creative energy of the artists who help build it.

As the organization expands, the resources and opportunities available to members are intended to grow alongside it. What begins as a platform for visibility, connection, and shared support may gradually develop into a broader network of tools, educational resources, community events, creative opportunities, and artist-focused initiatives that help members thrive in both their artistic practice and their relationship to the larger creative community.

Artist Sales Structure

No Upfront Cost to Join the Collective.

One of the guiding principles of the Sedona Art Collective is accessibility. There is currently no upfront cost to join for local artists who are accepted into the collective.

Rather than charging an initial membership fee, the organization is supported through sales made on the website. When an artist makes a sale through the Sacred Sedona Art platform, a portion is retained to support both the operation of the platform and the future growth of the collective.

This structure allows artists to participate without a financial barrier at the point of entry, while also helping the organization grow in a way that is directly tied to artist success.

Sales and Commission Structure

Supporting the Platform and the Collective.

When a sale is made through the website, 25% of the sale is retained by the organization.

That 25% is divided as follows:

  • 15% supports the management of the website, administration, and the technology required to maintain and grow the platform
  • 10% is reserved for the organization itself and held for future collective use

This model is intended to keep the platform sustainable while also creating a fund that can eventually support broader artist-centered opportunities.

Community Reinvestment

Funding Future Opportunities for the Artists Community.

Part of the collective’s structure is designed to build toward future possibilities that benefit local artists and the wider creative community. Over time, these shared funds may help support spaces, programs, gatherings, and other opportunities shaped by the members themselves.

Possible uses for those shared funds may include:

  • renting a safe place for members to practice or create
  • securing a location to display member artwork
  • opening or supporting a gallery-style space
  • offering training seminars for children, younger artists, or emerging creatives
  • organizing community gatherings and artist meetups
  • funding future collective projects that serve the membership and the local arts community

This approach reflects the values of reinvestment, transparency, and shared long-term benefit.
